Hubert Lam is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Skin Care Consultants .  A doctor of Oriental Medicine (O.M.D.), acupunturist, drugless practitioner (D.P.), medical esthetician, massage therapist, and aromatherapist, Hubert Lam has led Skin Care Consultants' steady growth and evolution over the past 30 years, from the company’s clinical origins to its prominent leadership role today in the skin care industry.

A relentless innovator with a prescient ability to accurately predict future industry developments, Hubert Lam has a well-established reputation for consistently and successfully introducing and popularizing the latest, cutting-edge technologies in the esthetics and related fields.  In addition to his creation of the renowned Lamprobe, these market introductions include, among many, such now-mainstream practices and technologies such as permanent makeup and microdermabrasion, for common conventional use by skin care professionals.

Hubert Lam currently serves as President of the Canadian Society of Professional Skin Care Specialists. Concurrently, he furthermore holds the position of President of CIDESCO CANADA, the official Canadian division of CIDESCO International.  For over 25 years, he was also the Principal of the internationally-acclaimed Lam School of Advanced Esthetics, which was the first and longest-standing CIDESCO accredited esthetics school in North America. 

Hubert Lam completed advanced studies in the field of esthetics in England, France, and Germany. He was awarded recognition as an "Outstanding Educator" by the Esthetics 2000 Congress.

Originally from Trinidad & Tobago (Caribbean) and of Eurasian (Chinese/Spanish) descent, Hubert Lam is a graduate of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, one of China’s oldest and most prestigious academic institutions for the study of traditional Chinese Medicine. His medical internship was subsequently completed in China’s remote southeastern Xishuangbanna region (Yunnan province), where he spent 2 years providing critical medical care and education to the region’s local ethnic minority tribes. 

A past President of the former Acupuncture Association of Ontario, Hubert Lam also served on the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario's founding regulatory panel on Acupuncture. Today, he maintains a working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.

Pat Lam is the Vice-President of Skin Care Consultants. In this capacity, she has played an important role in guiding the growth and direction of the company during much of its 30 year history.For over 25 years, Pat Lam was also the Vice-Principal of the Lam School of Advanced Esthetics, which was the first and longest-standing CIDESCO accredited esthetics school in North America. In this role, she was instrumental in developing the school’s pioneering and innovative 1,600 hour curriculum which incorporated – in addition to traditional esthetics subject matter - the related disciplines of health, wellness, stress therapy, physical fitness, and nutrition that are only now today becoming widely accepted as integral components to a successful, long-term skin care regime.

Pat Lam has been a renowned educator in the health and beauty field for more than 25 years. She is an internationally celebrated author and instructor whose cutting-edge, comprehensive textbooks and instructional videos – covering new ground in subjects relating to nutrition, skin care, and anti-aging - are widely used by practitioners and taught in educational institutions around the world.

A highly in-demand and dynamic public speaker, Pat Lam is a well-known lecturer at prominent industry conferences worldwide.  In addition, she is a notable and frequent contributor to many main-stream trade publications, with numerous published articles. Until recently, she also served for a number of years on the Advisory Board for Skin Inc., one of North America’s premier esthetic trade journals.

An officially designated and active senior CIDESCO International Examiner, Pat Lam travels extensively around the world to examine esthetics schools located on all continents. At present, she furthermore holds the position of Secretary of the Society of Professional Skin Care Specialists – CIDESCO CANADA.

With her professional and personal interests embracing all related aspects of wellness, she is a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She was also the first esthetician in the world to become board certified as an anti-aging health practitioner by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).

Pat Lam holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. A CIDESCO Diplomate, she has additionally completed advanced studies in the field of esthetics in England and France. CIDESCO International has recognized Pat Lam with one of its highest honours for her contributions to the profession, awarding her a Gold Medal for her work in the domain of stress therapy.
